The Fine Print, Unhidden
We ask for your name and email so we can hand you the audio and stay in touch about gatherings. We keep that in our own storage, we will send about one note a month, and you can leave in one click. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers — not now, not ever.
The Contact Code is run by Gayle Fuller and D. Brandon Feco. If you want anything on this page acted on, write to [email protected] and a human reads it.
What you type into a form on this site, plus the few details listed below that your browser sends along with it. There is no collection anywhere else on this site.
When you request the free audio, we store:
When you register for a gathering, we also store:
That is the whole list. We do not ask for, receive, or store payment card details — if a gathering is paid for online, the card is handled by the payment processor and never touches this site.
This site has no analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, and no cookies. We do not know how long you stayed, what you scrolled past, or where you went next. Nothing is stored in your browser by us.
One honest exception: our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them, and Google sees that request. We do not receive anything from it. If that matters to you, a font blocker or a privacy-focused browser stops it, and the site still reads fine.
Your details go into our own storage on Cloudflare, in the United States, reached only by us. They are not in a shared marketing database that other people can browse, and they are not pooled with any other business's list.
Each new signup also triggers a short alert email to the two of us, sent through Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to our own inboxes. That alert carries what you typed, so Cloudflare and our own email providers handle it in passing, the way they handle any email anyone sends us.
No newsletter has gone out yet. When the first one does, it will be sent through Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which needs your name and email to deliver it and records whether a message was delivered, opened, or unsubscribed from. At that point Brevo is the only company we hand your email address to, and it gets it to send you the thing you asked for — not for its own use. If we ever change senders, this page changes with it.
We are based in the United States and that is where your details are stored. Brevo is in France, so once the newsletter is running, your name and email are also handled in the EU. Both companies handle it under their standard data protection terms, which is what covers moving it between the two.
Your audio link is signed and expires after 48 hours. It is not tied to your identity and it does not report back to us when you use it — it simply stops working after two days. If yours has expired, sign up again with the same email and you will get a fresh one.
Asking for the audio puts you on the list. We say so on the form, above the button, before you type anything. You get roughly one email a month and word of gatherings as they open — not a stream of offers.
Every newsletter we send will carry an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works in one click, with no login, no form, and no reason required, and we honour it immediately. Until the first one goes out there is nothing to unsubscribe from — but you can write to us at any time and we will take you off by hand.
For as long as you want to hear from us. If you unsubscribe, we keep the bare minimum needed to make sure we do not accidentally email you again. If you ask us to delete you outright, we delete the record.
Wherever you live, you can write to [email protected] and ask us to tell you exactly what we hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or erase it. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to justify it.
If you are in the UK, EU, or Switzerland: our legal basis for sending you the newsletter is your consent, given on the form. You can withdraw it at any time and that does not affect anything sent before. For the rest — handing you the audio you asked for, and answering a gathering registration — the basis is that you asked us to, and our own interest in keeping a record of who we have replied to. You also have the right to object to how we handle your details and to complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California: we do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not in the past twelve months. We do not offer any financial incentive in exchange for it, and asking us to delete it changes nothing about how you are treated.
This site and its work are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If a child's details reached us, write to us and we will remove them.
We will change the date below and, if the change actually affects what happens to your details, we will say so in the monthly note rather than quietly editing the page.
