The Group Activation
Thirty-three minutes under the lamp, eyes closed, in a circle.
The indoor activation carries the same transmission as the open-sky journey, but the frequencies arrive through stroboscopic light rather than the night sky. Your eyes stay closed the whole time. What you see is not on the lamp — it is happening in you.
This session uses rapidly flashing light, including sustained passages in the 13–22 Hz range. Flashing light at these rates can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy, whether or not they have ever had a seizure before. Do not take part if you have epilepsy, are photosensitive, are pregnant, or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you are unsure, speak to your doctor first — and tell us before the gathering begins. You can stop at any point, and stepping out is always welcome.
The Session
Length · 33 minutes
Purpose · Guided contact meditation, heart coherence, expanded and floaty states
Frequencies · 10 Hz Alpha descending to 7.83 Hz Schumann · 13–20 Hz visual band · 40 Hz + 80 Hz Gamma over a 6 Hz Theta undercurrent
Written and voiced by Gayle Fuller
Original score by Ray Schloss
Produced and light session by D. Brandon Feco
The light does not run a fixed pattern. It follows Gayle's spoken journey — every change in frequency, every pulse of brightness and every moment of darkness is placed against a specific line or a specific moment in Ray's score. The two were built together, not laid on top of one another.
Five Movements
00:00 – 06:00 · 10 Hz falling to 7.83 Hz
The session opens in Alpha, the rhythm of relaxed wakefulness — you need to be able to follow her voice while she explains the method. Over the next two minutes the light descends to 7.83 Hz, the Schumann resonance, the frequency at which the space between the Earth and the ionosphere naturally rings. The descent is deliberately slow. Arriving takes as long as it takes.
06:00 – 15:20 · 7.83 Hz held, with its harmonic
Through the grounding, the breath and the heart, the light holds steady at Schumann and adds a second oscillator an octave above it, so one pulse is felt as two. The flashes gradually narrow — more darkness between them — which is what going inward looks like from the outside. The colour warms across this whole stretch.
15:20 – 21:47 · 13–20 Hz, gliding
As the transmission turns outward — the third eye, the sending, the beacon — the light climbs into the 13–20 Hz band, where closed-eye geometry is strongest. It never sits still here. The frequency sweeps continuously across the band, which is what keeps the patterns alive and moving rather than fixed. This is the most visual part of the session, and for most people it is where the geometry arrives.
21:47 – 28:30 · 40 Hz + 80 Hz Gamma over 6 Hz Theta
Then the score empties. At twenty-two minutes the bass drops out completely and stays out for four and a half minutes — exactly where Gayle asks you to stop sending and listen. Into that space the light moves to 40 Hz Gamma with its 80 Hz octave, carried over a slow Theta undercurrent that breathes underneath it.
Gamma is associated with exotic states of consciousness, lucid dreaming and out-of-body experiences. It is also the band people most often describe as floating. This is the longest single stretch in the session, and it is the part most people feel.
28:30 – 33:33 · returning to 7.83 Hz
The light comes down slowly and warms as it goes, settling back to Schumann for the closing and the return. Nothing is abrupt. By the time she asks you to open your eyes, the field has already let you go.
Built to the Score
Three times in the session the light goes out completely for just under a second, and then returns as a bright pulse.
Each one lands immediately after a specific spoken line — after "all through the centre of your chest," after "let it build in your chest," and after "you're sending them your position." The darkness is not a pause. It is what makes the pulse that follows land.
Throughout the rest of the session, every significant impact in the score is answered by the light — but always within whatever band is already running. A bass hit during the Gamma section deepens the Gamma rather than interrupting it. What you feel and what you see stay in the same place.
The group activation opens every gathering — indoors, on the first night, before the mountain.
